It's about that time again! Texas will be Sheen faced after next week when we get done visiting! Going for our family visit to steve and amy's ranch of fun! Things to look forward to this trip: raspberry cookies at six in the morning, sloshed 6th street dancing, salt lick, Amy calling my name out in her dreams, boofay, "get a life", karaoke, slitterbongs, hot tubbing, " nice fresh stretch", warm weather, and most importantly time away from Utah! :)

FAKE Brazilian Blowout

So this past weekend SUCKED!!!!
So a few weeks ago someone told me that they had tried this stuff from Wal Mart called "The Brazilian Keratin Treatment" she told me that it worked pretty well for her! She said that it obviously wasn't as great as the "REAL" Brazilian Blowout but it worked pretty decent! I thought about it and said to myself "I baby my hair soooooo much, what is one time using a Wal Mart product gonna do? The worst that is gonna happen is that is just won't work..." Right? WRONG!!!!!! After making my poor sweet cousin (who was willing to take time out of her life to come help me!) took 4 HOURS to help me do this we noticed that my hair looked a little different. I was a little worried but thought it was just the product and after I washed it out in 48 hours as directed it would was out with it..... WRONG!
So this happened on Saturday when the boys were at Priesthood. After priesthood we ALL went to dinner.... Everyone was making fun of my hair asking me "what the heck did you do to your hair??" well everyone except out little Hispanic waitress... The first thing she said when she got to the table was "Wow! I really love your hair!" I think she just wanted a tip because I was sitting right next to a mirror and looked over at my reflection and saw my greased down nasty ORANGE hair! I thought "OH NO! it really is getting oranger by the minute!" maybe she really did like it... I highly doubt it!!! WHO WOULD! IT WAS NASTY!!! I mean my own husband walked in the restaurant looked at me with HUGE eyes and said "babe you gotta wash that out! You look like Bo Bo the clown!" I wanted to cry! I just wanted my hair to be less frizzy and a little less curly!! NOT ORANGE! I was desperate and a had a bit of a laps in judgment when deciding to buy this Wal Mart Trama!
After dinner I was trying to decide if I should wash it out... I mean come on we just spent the last 4 HOURS trying to do this as perfect as we could! I wanted it to work so badly and felt a little bit of guilt for "waisting" my sweet cousins time for something I was just going to wash out! We ended up having to run a movie back that we had borrowed from my friend who is in hair school... I knocked quietly on the door hoping I wasn't going to get shunned from doing the wretched thing to my hair I work so hard to keep as healthy as I can! She opens the door and I say "don't judge my hair! I don't know what's happening!" she immediately pulls me in and says "WHAT DID YOU DO??" I hung my head and started to explain... Before I could even finish my first sentence she said "you can't do that on blonde hair!" now I really wanted to cry! What had I don't to myself?? Just a few weeks ago I has paid a very VERY large pretty penny on getting my hair done and now I wrecked it!! Now keep in mind while doing this whole process it tells you to flat iron up to 450 degrees 2 inch section by 2 inch section... So this is REALLY BURNED IN MY HAIR! She tells me to go home and wash it out now!!! She told me to buy some stuff at maceys ( I didn't want to go to Wal Mart...I was still angry at them) and try to strip the color out! Well it was too late... I had ruined it! I was hysterical....Tyson was scared I'm sure.... He was very comforting hugged me and told me we would get it fixed Monday! I was still hysterical....he started texting one of my very sweet hairstylist friends and told her what had happened and that I was having a total breakdown! He asked her if she would fix it Monday. She laughed and said "I will fix it tomorrow! She can't wait till Monday!" I was relieved...a little.. Still feeling awful about EVERYTHING!
The next morning, after the first session of conference, she met us down at her salon and helped me strip most of the orange out. She said she will put some color into in in a few weeks after all my hair had been through it was very dry and needed some time!
All and all it was quite a traumatic weekend for me! I'm happy it's over and will me more happy in a few weeks when I can color it again. Thankfully it will be ready to go right before out Texas trip!

Ps the sweet girl that told me about this has dark brown hair and had no clue it would do this to my hair! AND it didn't say anything about it at all on the stupid box!

Happy Valentine's Day

Happy Valentines day everyone!! I hope your Valentines day was as good as mine!! Well I guess I should say a Valentines weekend! Tyson has been spoiling me since Thursday! It was a wonderful weekend!
On Thursday Tyson brought me 2 dozen beautiful roses to my work...

Then on Friday I got to work at Dr. Jones office and found my esthetics room like this...

On Sunday we had church but after that we just spent the night together watching movies and I took the longest best nap of my life!
Then Monday....actual Valentines day...Tyson went to school and I stated home and got ready for the night. We decided to go to an early dinner at Texas Road House so we didn't have to experience the "Valentines day wait". So we ate at 4! It was nice! I don't like dealing with all the crowds! We went for a drive down by my old house....weird to go down there....then drove through the neighborhood that we met each other in! Here is a picture of us on our drive...

After that we just came home and played Skip-Bo and watched tv! I like a layed back night! It is more relaxing then being out dealing with all the crowds!
Now yes I will agree that Valentines day IS over rated! But I really do like this holiday! I always like to say that if you "HATE" Valentines day then it's just because you have never had a good one! I love being with the man of my dreams that loves me just as much if not more then I love him! It makes everyday Valentines day! Thanks for a great Valentines weekend babe! I love you so much! Xoxo

On another note I HAVE to blog about Nikki at school "proposing" to me at school with the roses Tyson gave me!!! It was soooo funny! I sure do love my job! It's so fun hangin out with "the girls" all day long on Wednesdays and Thursdays! Thanks for making my day Tyson and Nikki!

I went in again one the Monday after Christmas! He said the serious thing I had going on is almost gone...YAY...but he found that I have SLK....boo.... :( SLK is short for superior limbic kerato conjunctivitis!
The really crappy part is that he said it take up to 5-10 years to heal it...that's right I said YEARS!!! He said that contacts make it worse and that I have most likely had it for a long time and no one ever told me that either! Grrr! Can I sue these other eye doctors for not giving me the time of day and making my eye get to this point??? Well he said I can still wear my contacts but when it gets bad I have to wear my glasses for a while till the get under control again! He also said I absolutely cannot use regular contact solution because the chemicals in it makes it flare up! I wish I would have known that... Well I went again on Monday and he said he wants me to use my contacts this whole next week so he can see how my eyes react to them. I'm using the "liquid gold" 2 times a day now that my contacts are in...less drops is good! I can attempt to wear make up again and it won't be down my face in an hour! I feel so much better about myself with my contacts! I feel so ugly in my glasses! So it's nice to be out of them! Well that's it for now! I see him again on Monday for another check up to see how my eyes are liking my contacts then hopefully I can order some in and be done with all this frustration!
He gave me a trial pair I'm wearing right now and because of how bad my astigmatism is he didn't have my right prescription in so I'm still not seeing clearly and everything is still blurry but I'll take what I can get! Still can't drive because of this but It's not too bad having your personal chauffeur except for when he is late and I'm stranded till he gets there! Well that's it for now! I'll let you know on Monday what he says! Cross your fingers I can order some contacts finally that would make me so happy!! X

GO JAZZ GO!

So Monday night Tyson and I got home and plopped down on the couch to wait for 7pm to roll around for the Jazz game to start. When my phone rings and it is my friend Brandi who I work with at Dr. Jones office! She asked me what I was doing tonight and I told her we were just waiting for the jazz game to start! She then says "how would you like to go to the Jazz game tonight?" I was like "WHAT??" "don't toy with my heart Brandi!" well needless to say she wasn't toying and we all went to the game!! It was so much fun!!! We were so excited to go!!! They were even lower bowl seats!! It was so fun and we really appreciated them thinking of us to invite!!! Thanks for an awesome night Brandi and Cole!

A day with my Coco!!

They other day I got to spend the whole day with my Kinzie Coco!! She is my oldest niece! She is 8 years old! She lives in Arizona with her mom and step dad! I miss her and Ayden a lot and wish the lived closer! So it is really good to see them when the come into town!
Kinzie and I just hung out all day long and played skip bo and watched The Suite Life Of Zachary And Cody! We went to go take her home that night but it was the night of that HUGE snow storm. We couldn't make it up into my moms neighborhood and had to turn around and make our way back home! She stayed with us and watched the Jazz game with us till 10 when blake got off work and came to pick her up! It was a fun day and she was a little angel! I love her! She was my first niece and the first baby since ME in my family so she was so loved as a child and will always be! I love you my Coco!!

CHRISTMAS 2010

Christmas was good this year! It was a weird Christmas. All tyson's siblings went to Idaho for Christmas. It was weird not having Christmas over there. We did Christmas eve at my families then for the first year since we have been married came home and slept in our own bed. We did Christmas morning at our house with the 2 of us. We then went to tyson's moms house and ate lunch and hung out with her! Bo then called from England! It was good to hear his voice! He sounded great! He is doing very well out there! After that we went to my families and aye dinner and played games! It was very relaxed and mellow this year with a lot less anxiety than usual...I liked that!! Tyson spoiled me...as usual... And I tried to spoil him also...he always does better than me at that but I'm getting better!
I didn't have a December class start this last month so I have all December off from the school and only worked a total of 4 days in December at the doctors office with all the holidays! Tyson was out if school on break so it was nice to be able to just spend some time together! All together it was a pretty good holiday break! It was soooooo hard going back to work full time after having all that time off!! But it is nice to have the holidays over with!!

Happy 4 year anniversary to us!

So yesterday was our 4 year anniversary of being sealed in the temple!
It is fun to have 2 anniversaries!
Yesterday we went to the temple to celebrate! Then I surprised Tyson and took him to the provo museum of arts at BYU to see the Carl Bloch exhibit! Look it up! I recommend you all go see it! The paintings are absolutely beautiful and so moving! It was so interesting to see these paintings and learn about this truly talented artist! They were all amazing. This one was my favorite.

I could have stared at it for hours!! It was so incredible! And has so much symbolism to it! So amazing and heartbreaking at the same time! So hard to imagine what the Savior went through for us! Even he needed more strength from an angel to get him through this time! The look on his face...so tired and in pain to pay for the sins of the world! It makes me want to always be better! I am so grateful to him for what he did for us! It must have been so hard but he still did it! I really think everyone should go see it! It's free! Just go online and print off the tickets! It gives you a free pass to park too! I believe it goes through the 19th of January!
We then went to dinner. Tyson played in a church ball game after then we went home to enjoy the rest of our night playing skip-Bo! I love that game!!!
I am so happy to be married to my best friend and eternal companion! Thanks for a wonderful day Tyson! I love you with all my heart! Xoxo

Update on my eyes

Everything is the same! :(

I keep putting that "liquid gold" in my eyes 3 times a day! I guess it can take a couple weeks to really make a difference! Still are constantly burning but some of the redness is gone....we will see :(

CURSE MY PARENTS AND MY GRANDPARENTS!!!!!

So I have been wearing contacts for about 12 years now. My eyes have always been red and bloodshot when I put them in for about the first 2 hours. Then by the end of the night they burn and I have to get them out!
I have never liked any eye doctor I have been to. I feel like they never cared and they would just give me a different contact to see if that helped. And no one has ever been able to get me a prescription that I have felt comfortable with. They have never made me be able to see as well as I wanted! Now I guess I understand that I really do have awful eyes. They both have a very high astigmatism. So I just have alway thought that maybe it's just my eyes and they will never be where I want them to be unless I get LASIK eye surgery!
All I have ever wanted was to be able to see!!! I want to not have to wear contacts or glasses, just be able to wake up and see!! That's my dream! If not that then to not feel my lenses in my eyes all day long with that scratchy burny feeling! And at least be able to see with them in!!
Ok I'm sorry! I'm ranting! This really actually is a very emotional subject for me! No one really understands unless they have actually been in this EXACT situation! It is one of the most frustrating things ever!! And I have just learned to ignore it! And it feels like no one has ever been able to help me!
So lately it seems like my vision has been CONSTANTLY changing. Yesterday my last contact ripped and I can't see anything out of my glasses! So today I decided it was time to go to the eye doctor! Everytime I go I go to a new place cuz I hate every doctor I have ever been to! Today we decided to go to the Lindon walmart. Feeling so frustrated I went in expecting to totally hate him, get a trial pair of contacts and pay him $75 to keep feeling miserable for the next year! Well I was wrong....the information I received wasn't the greatest but way better than anyone ever before! He was so informative and helpful! He told me stuff I should have been doing for years (like rewetting drops several times a day) that no one has ever told me!
Well it turns out that I have EXTREAMLY dry eyes. And they have been very neglected from not realizing what it was, it has caused inflammation and pockets to form on the surface of my eye! That is why I have been so miserable! He said that my eyes don't produce enough tears and what has happened sometimes is permanent but usually is temporary and if I follow his directions hopefully it can heal up in a month or so! He gave me drops I can put in as much as I want (which seems like every 5 minutes) and some gel drops I have to sleep with. And unfortunately a very necessary prescription to use 3 times a day! The worst part...it costs $175!!!! Ridiculous they can charge that much for something I have to have!! 3 things that he said ultimately led me to about a 30 minute nervous breakdown. First the cost of the prescription and my lack of money, 2 he said my vision is so bad I can't drive...at least till this clears up and we can see if it fixes my vision (fingers crossed) and 3rd I only have about a 20% chance that I could even get LASIK! The only thing keeping me sane through the years was knowing that one day I could have enough money to get LASIK and be able to see and all this will be over! Now that might not ever happen! I guess I'll just have to wait till the second coming to finally be "healed". Well most of you probably won't even make it to this point in this post so sorry but I really just needed to vent for a while! I just hope I can get back to "normal" soon! He told me that unfortunately because of how bad my astigmatism is that my contacts will always feel uncomfortable but I guess I will just take seeing over not seeing at all! I have been falling off curbs and running into stuff all day! I can't see upclose or far away! ahhhhhhhhghhughgh!!!

It's been a great day!!!!

Today has been a great day!!! Work was good! We all went to breakfast and they paid for mine! Then I got a back treatment from one of my girls!! SHE IS AMAZING!!!!! You all need to come get one of these!

Then my sweet visiting teacher came over.
Then we went to see my beautiful cousin who just had her baby today! Sarah looked way too good for just having a baby! She was absolutely radiant! This baby is gorgeous also (she takes after her mama) she makes me kinda want a baby of my own! Tyson was so cute with her he was holding her and looks up at me and said "I want one!" I am so happy for her! She will be an amazing mother because she has learned from one of the very best!!! I love you all so much!!!

Then when we get home there is a Christmas tree on my door step! I had told my visiting teacher that we were probably not going to get one this year and she brought me one! No one has ever done something like that for me before! It made me feel soooo good!!! It just reminds me that their are actuallyy still some good people in the world still!! Thank you so much Jill! You made my Christmas!!!! Great day today!!!

GO JAZZ GO!!!

So I have really grown to love watching the Jazz more and more over my lifetime! My mother is a diehard fan and I remember my childhood filled with screaming and yelling coming from my mom and uncle Jim every time a game was on! I played on the Jr Jazz when I was little (even tho I was awful) my dad was the coach so I got to run around on the court and look like an idiot!! We used to go to Jazz games all the time and I always loved going to those!
The end of last season and this season so far we have come up to Tyson's Uncle Tom and Aunt Cammi's house to watch!! It is so fun and I always look forward to it!! We don't have cable at our house so we are very grateful for them to let us come crash their house!! The Jazz are doing awesome this year....especially that win against the LAKERS!!! WOOT WOOT! I know you laker fans don't like to give any credit where credit is due but the rocked it that night!!
So fun screaming at the tv and seeing this season unfold! Ok got to go...watching the game!!

As a family we have always had a tradition as long as I can remember that we all get Christmas pjs on Christmas eve! We decided to change it to Thanksgiving now so they can wear them all month long!! Don't they all look so cute??
It was so nice to have Kinzie and Ayden here for Thanksgiving this year! I miss them! It's so fun to see how much they grow in-between each time we see them! They are getting so big!!

Today we did thanksgiving at my families house! Dinner was great as usual! We have a family tradition that we go around the table and say what we are thankful for! Ever year for the past.....forever we have this joke that mom has to go last because she bawls like a baby!!! Well I guess I'm turning into my mother because I cried more than her this year...I know I'm pathetic!! But I am very thankful this year for alot of things!! Mainly this past year I have felt so grateful for the priesthood!!! I am sooooo grateful that I have an amazing husband who is worthy to hold it!! It is such a blessing in my life and our home! I am so grateful for all he does for me and what great care of me he takes! I truly do have an amazing man in my life and I'm so happy he choose me to be his eternal companion!!
I'm just laying in the couch right now trying to keep my eyes open after 2 full days of stuffing myself with yummy turkey!!
We always do a few crafts after dinner is all cleaned up and this year....finally 5 years later...I am going to finally make tyson's stocking! We all have home made stockings that my mom made for us when we were young and hers is one her mother made for her! So I think it's time I finally sir down and do Tyson's. I will post pictures of it when I get started!!

Happy thanksgiving! I'm thankful for winter boots, fuzzy blankets, my bed, my sleep, my house, high heels, my iPhone, my car, our freedom, both my jobs, the gospel, the temples, my family (extended and immediate), the greatest husband of all time!!!! My moms stuffing, having 2 turkey dinners!

I love thanksgiving and I think it gets quickly passed over alot! A one day dinner then everyone is scrambling for Christmas! Don't get me wrong I LOVE christmas!!! It might be my favorite Holiday (next to my birthday ;) who doesn't love a day all to themselves) but I like to enjoy both holidays to the fullest and not miss out on one or the other!!
Holidays (since I've been married) stress me out more than I ever enjoy them! We have been so poor almost every year. And I hate being felt like I'm being pulled 2 different ways! It seems like neither of us feel like we got to spend enough time at one house or the other! This year I'm especially thankful for how Thanksgiving worked out for us this year! We usually go to both houses and are dead by the end of the day! But this year it worked out AWESOME! It worked out better for my family to do it tomorrow! So we get to spend the whole day today with Tyson's family and the whole day tomorrow with my family! Now I just have to give myself an ulcer about Christmas! I'm sure it will all figure itself out but until then....anxiety!
But I'm not going to even think about it till this weekend is over I'm just going to enjoy the vast amounts of food to be eaten and my nice long naps! Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Someone I know said some lady at the store was pushing everyone out of her way screaming! Now I'll be the first to say that I don't love the snow and the arctic cold temperatures but we have had bad snow storms before and FAR worse than this! Well people glad we closed everything down early yesterday and completely today! I'm really not complaining about it cuz I got to start my looooong Thanksgiving vacation a day and a half early!!! YAY FOR SNOW DAYS!!!

Tuesday night ball night

Every Tuesday night since what seems like the beginning of time Tyson has played basketball. Me being the amazing wifey I am have been almost every week for about the past 6 years. I kind of have grown to enjoy watching him play, other than the slightly violent parts that give me anxiety!

After a while sometimes you get a little bored and I'm just ready to go home! I finally came up with this BRILLIANT idea..6 years to late..my friend Amy should come sit with me and keep me company! It works out wonderful because her husband Dave loves to play basketball! I have LOVED our little girl time we have been getting and I have loved getting to know her better!! Got ma' har' did!!!

Got my hair done tonight from my friend Heather!! It needed it sooooo bad!!! Nothing makes me feel better then freshly done hair!!
I feel like a new woman! I'm so grateful for all my amazing hair stylist friend I have in my life! They are all so good to me! Special thanks to Heather tonight for taking time out of her night to do it for me!!! Ahhhh I feel so much better about life!!

A fresh start!

Hello everyone! It's been awhile and I now am able to blog from my phone! Unfortunately I had to start a brand new blog. I couldn't figure it out and it was just easier to start over! We will see how this goes! Now that it is made nice and easy to blog from my phone hopefully I will do it more...we all know how awful I am at this!!
Well not much is new just working at the plastic surgeons office and teaching at Mandalyn Academy! It has been really fun at both places. I love both my jobs! And the best part is that while working 2 jobs I still only work 4 days a week! I love having Saturdays Sundays and Mondays off!!
Tyson is in school full time! He is working so hard at it right now and doing very well! He is so smart and things just seem to come very easy to him! I'm so proud of him for going back to school and working so hard to provide for us!
Well I don't have much to report this time! That's enough for today...I wouldn't want to strain myself! ;)
